Title

OPTIMIZATION OF AIR INTAKE, SUSPENSION AND STEERING SYSTEM OF A STUDENT VEHICLE FOR BETTER PERFORMANCE

Abstract

This paper is about the idea of making a highly optimized air intake system, an Adjustable suspension system and optimum steering. By keeping in view, the above points, a design and fabrication of Air intake, suspension, and steering system of Formula Student Car also written as F-6 (Formula 6 vehicle), which is a type of open-wheel car has been done. Formula Student vehicles are smaller in shape and can be used low power to high power engines. There is some fully automated formula 6 vehicle present in the market which can beat race cars and superbikes in the long circuit. In this Project, Optimization of the engine performance and vehicle stability of the Formula Student vehicle is done by doing different calculations and analyses in the intake and suspension component[1]. The acceleration of any vehicle is always based on the torque output of the vehicle on the wheel, and the proper traction of the tire and the road. The torque and power output of any engine can be optimized by a well-designed air intake system and with a good suspension and steering system, optimum performance can be transmitted to the wheel.
