Contribution of women in civil engineering
Abstract
Civil engineering has always been a ‘man’s world’ and while women are no longer stranger to it, the numbers remain too few even today, in most part of the world. India with its already low female literacy rates is no exception to such skewed gender distributions. This paper looks into different aspects of contribution of women in civil engineering, which is equally enthralling, encouraging, as well as, demanding for women in the field.
