Title

Aerobic Dance for Reducing Body Fat Mass and Increasing Cardiovascular Endurance: Effectiveness Study.

Abstract

Metabolic complication of obesity is rising not only in developed countries but also in developing countries. In fact, obesity can be presented as (new world syndrome) the greatest health problem in the modern industrial world. The prevalence of this complication is increasing in all age groups in the world. Significant changes that occur from adolescence to middle age affect health and can increase the tendency to the disease. Severe obesity is associated with increased mortality. Two major patterns of fat distribution are: Central obesity or apple shape (android), the density and greater fat accumulation in the abdominal region is seen either as visceral or subcutaneous obesity and pear-shaped peripheral (gynoid) in which fat density in the lower extremities (hips, thighs, and legs) is observed. There are fundamental differences between these two types of obesity because most heart disease and metabolic are associated with vascular and visceral fat stores. Obesity reduces vascular compliance and work with the stiffness and hardness and increased resistance to blood vessels in the long term and by factors such as additional energy absorption, low used energy, low level of basal metabolism, reduce fat oxidation, and sympathetic activity. Aerobic dance can also be an effective workout to inhibit falls because of its benefits associated with kinesiology factors and a fairly low rate of injuries. The step and choreography in dance incorporated the sagittal step and straddling step which include balance and agility. Reference expounded that aerobic dance can be helpful to develop cardiovascular endurance because oxygen is delivered around the body through the blood stream and pumped by the heart. The aerobic system can only work when the energy demand is low intensity for the heart to provide the muscles with satisfactory supply of oxygen. In aerobic exercise, the body is operating at a level in which the supply of oxygen is sufficient to the body's requests for oxygen. By doing aerobic dance, body weight also can be reduced
