Abstract
Education is a strong indicator of the progress and development of a country. Primary education forms the foundation for the generation to come. Government’s focus on education decides the importance of it. One of the criteria of focus is the financial allocation of a country provided for education. This study analyzes the money spent on primary education by the countries of BRICS union. The GDP indicates the economic development of a country. Hence the expenditure as percentage of GDP of all BRICS countries have been taken for this purpose.
