Title
Regioselective Synthesis and Structural Correlations of Aryl Pyrazole Framework
Abstract
A regioselective synthesis of medicinally important methoxylated aryl pyrazole frameworks viz. 1-methyl-5-(2,4,6-trimethoxyphenyl)-1H-pyrazole 6 and 1-methyl-3-(2,4,6-trimethoxy-phenyl)-1H-pyrazole 7 were achieved by varying the addition sequence of methyl iodide and sodium hydride. The structures of the regioisomers were confirmed using 1D and 2D NMR techniques.
