Abstract

Inducer is any compound that elicits defense response in plants. This is a very promising modern area of research. People are highly aware of the problems related to overdoze of fungicides and pesticides leading to bioaccumulation and biomagnifications. Genetically modified crops are also highly controversial. Therefore, the best possible solution is to immunise plants against the pathogens and pests. The present paper gives an overview touching the aspects of elicitos of defense response and their different types with the detais of the most promising ones and the current trends.
