Title

A Fuzzy Logic based Control Systsem for PV -WIND-Battery based Hybrid Power Generation System

Abstract

In this paper, we study and implement a standalone power generation system with active power control feature using fuzzy logic. The generation system consists of PV-wind-battery hybrid system for a constant supply to load. The implementation of simulation is performed on MATLAB Simulink. Initially on a literature survey it is seen that the control system used is anti-windup PI controller for wind and PV system, and also an improved method for Perturb and Observe method for MPPT tracking is implemented in power generation system it also incorporates a sliding mode control. To improve the performance of the hybrid system for power generation a new control system is introduced in the existing one that is with the fuzzy logic control. In fuzzy logic system, a fuzzy inference file is created which according to a set of rules which are created by the user produces an output. This output is then processed with the further control system to improve the performance of hybrid Wind-PV-battery power generation system. Fuzzy techniques are investigated to get high level of performance with reduced number of sensors for a stable operation of a wind-PV-battery based hybrid standalone power generation system (HSPGS).
