Concrete is a mixture of cement, coarse-aggregates, fine aggregates and water with or without admixtures. To attain desirable strength and other properties, curing is necessary. Curing promotes hydration of cement, controls temperature and movement of moisture from and into the concrete. Self-curing is the process in which the water is retained in the concrete and evaporation of water is also reduced. In this paper to produce internally cured concretewe haveused sodium polyacrylate (SP) as SAP and pre wetted saw-dust as light weight aggregate. The proportion of sodium polyacrylate (SP) is 4 % of cement content and fine aggregate is replaced wetted saw-dust in 03 different proportions i.e. 10%, 20% and 30% by aggregate weight. Self-curing Concrete cubes of 07 days and 28 days of has checked and compared with conventional concrete of similar mix design. The concrete mix grade is M-30as per guidelines by IS:456-2000.
