Title

Underwater Signal Detection Using Fiber Optic Interferometric Technique

Abstract

The recent advancement that was performed in the past three decades are discussed in this paper as a review of the development of DFB-FL or FBG hydrophone. Some of the key developments that were observed were on the use of the coating material, the laser to be used, the length of the fiber etc. All of these factors as a whole effect the sensitivity of the fiber Bragg grating present in the receiving end of whole setup. Different environmental condition calls for different setup options. DFB-FL goes through development in a steady manner step by step with a lot of trial and errors are discussed in the present paper.
