At the rate in which India population is increasing, it is said that India will be become the first in the world. These will lead to huge rate of consumption of the very valuable natural resource water resulting in augmentation of pressures on the permitted freshwater resource. Hence from drinking water and our daily demand of water requirement, hence need to think for changeable cost effective and relatively easier technological methods of conserving water. Rainwater harvesting is one of the useful method fulfilling those requirement. The technical aspects of this paper are rainwater harvesting collected from all rooftop which is considered to be catchment areas of all buildings of the campus. First of all required data are collected like catchment areas, Hydrological rainfall data & DEM map. Water harvesting potential for all apartments was calculated and volume of tank has been calculated with most useful method of estimation. DEM map and contour map done by QGIS for finding the best location of tank.
