Abstract
This paper is an attempt to understand the role and status of women in the profession of journalism of Assam. To fulfill this objectives a considerable number of women working in the field of print and electronic media of Kamrup district of Assam has been taken into consideration. Which gives an idea about the power and position women enjoys in the profession of journalism.
