“It is important for people to realise that we can make progress against world hunger and it is not hopeless -- David Beckman Abstract: A stable and peaceful socio political and economic atmosphere contributes positively to the economic development of any country. But most often this peaceful and stable atmosphere is not always attainable due to instability and insurgencies of various kinds.Their underlying root causes of insurgencies and deprivation are invariably to be found in political, socio-economic, or religious domains. Among the socio-economic domain poverty is a major root cause behind every agitation. Poverty and resulting starvation is the root cause of Crime ,theft, child labour and even prostitution in world around. Ensuring food security is an effective and silent weapon to eliminate poverty and thereby insurgency.
