The arrival of internet has proven to be a great asset to the human civilization in many regards. Starting from greatest innovations to everyday basic activities, internet has been playing a pivotal role. Although, the positive impacts of internet are known to all, the negative impacts or the dangers that come along with it cannot be ignored. With the increasing numbers of internet users everywhere the dangers of falling prey to cyber crimes are also increasing. Internet users with very little or no knowledge or awareness about the menace of cyber crimes and their online safety become a huge challenge. In this light, this study attempts to explore the trends in online behaviour among college students and their level of awareness towards the existence of the threat of cyber crimes.
