This study examines the processes of mid-career career restructuring among Indian professionals. Using examples from two distinct cases, the study illustrates the development of a model that supports labour market transitions through lifelong learning, particularly during career transitions away from initial occupational identities. The study examines career reconceptualization processes from three perspectives: identity development, affective and cognitive development, and relational and practical development. This study's paradigm can be utilised to educate individuals and organisations about career transitions and the significance of learning and development processes in facilitating these transitions.
