North eastern Region or Assam is a land of diverse races, cultures, religions, ethnic groups and societies. Streams of human races and groups of Austro-Asiatic, Nitrites, Dravidians, Alpines, Indo-Mongoloids, Tibeto-Burman and Aryans etc. They came to Assam through different routes and migrate and settled in different parts of North Eastern Region in different times. The Tibeto-Burman people are predominant in whole North-Eastern Region. The Bodo are one of the sections of the Tibeto-Burman family. But question arise who was the first intruder or settler in Assam? In order to find the answer I have taken as one of the area of my research work. I have tried to collect written record of various renounce scholars who has done research work in the said field and thereby written very brief information about the origin and migration of the Bodo in north eastern region.

Bodo, Mongoloid, Assam Tibeto-Barman, Kacharis and Meches, Dravidian.
