Abstract
Over the years the usage of digital gadgets has drastically increased, everyone owns at least one gadget, the most basic one being the mobile phone, due to the pandemic, schools, colleges and workplaces were forced to shut down, which led everyone to function from home, in turn increasing screen time and screen use. Since everyone had to attend classes and work from home it has become inevitable for us to avoid looking at the screen. This literature review aims to understand whether screen time has a negative effect on one’s cognitive functioning.
