Annona reticulate Linn. is used widely under the traditional systems of medicines.The leaves as antimicrobial agent were selected as the plant part and its extract were prepared to examine the antimicrobial activity. Bacterial strains were used to carry out the antimicrobial activity by Zone of inhibition (ZOI) study. The organisms used were Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli by using cup plate method. The ether extract exhibited remarkable activity against bacteria in concentration of 100μg/ml and 1000μg/ml for Gram positive and negative strains respectively.
