The delay inherent with Traditional Cloud Computing makes it impractical for securely holding IoT data, especially given the ongoing growth in the number of IoT sensors and physical devices linked to the Internet. The current body of research on automating security measures for all components within the IoT-Cloud ecosystem that handle huge data and real-time activities is limited, mostly owing to the difficulties involved with processing such data on Cloud facilities. The process of establishing a safe and automatic data transmission from the Internet of Things (IoT) layer to the cloud layer may present significant challenges, especially in the context of managing many geographically scattered devices. This chapter presents a sophisticated algorithm designed to enhance security protocols inside the Internet of Things (IoT) cloud environment. The use of the butterfly optimization technique is employed for this specific purpose.
