Emotional intelligence (EI) is the ability to perceive, understand, and manage one's emotions and those of others. It has been found to be a significant predictor of stress and its management. This study aimed to investigate the impact of emotional intelligence on stress levels in management students of Bangalore. The sample consisted of 60 management students (23 males and 37 females) from various colleges in Bangalore. The data has been collected using the Emotional Quotient Test by Prof. N. K. Chadha and Dr. Dalip Singh and the Perceived Stress Scale by Sheldon Cohen. Through this study we have tried to highlight the importance of developing emotional intelligence skills in management students, as it can have a significant impact on their stress levels. Educational institutions need to incorporate EI training in their curriculum to help students develop these skills, which can be beneficial for their personal and professional growth.
