A STUDY TO ASSESS EFFECTIVENESS OF PLANNED TEACHING PROGRAM ON KNOWLEDGE REGARDING PREVENTION OF MYOCARDIAL INFARCTION AMONG THE POLICE OFFICERS IN COMMISIONER .POLICE. OFFICE AT CHHARTAPATI SAMBHAJINAGAR CITY”

Abstract

Abstract : OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY:1.To assess the pre-test level of knowledge on prevention o myocardial infarction among the police officer in C.P. office.2.To assess the post-test level of knowledge on prevention of myocardial infarction among the police officer in C.P. in office.3.To assess the association between knowledge score with their selected demographic variables. RESEARCH METHODOLOGY:RESEARCH APPROACH: A quantitative research approach.RESEARCH DESIGN: Descriptive research design.POPULATION: Police officers in C.P. office. SAMPLE: The subset of population selected to participate in the research study. The police officers of Chh. Sambhajinagar.SAMPLE SIZE: 60 police office SAMPLING CRITERIA:Inclusive criteria:1.Police officers of C.P. office.2.Police officers who understand Marathi, English.Exclusive criteria:Police officers who are not willing to participate in the study.Police officers who are not present during the time of data collection. CONCLUSION:The following conclusions were on the basis of findings of the study.In the pre-test 54 (90%) respondents had inadequate knowledge, 2 (3.34%) had moderate knowledge and 4 (6.66%) respondents had adequate knowledge regarding myocardial infraction.In the post-test 04 (6.66%) respondents had inadequate knowledge, 11 (18.34%) had moderate knowledge and 45 (75%) respondents had adequate knowledge regarding myocardial infraction. The structured teaching program helps to improve the knowledge level of the myocardial infarction of C.P. office. The study proved the path to find variety of other information regarding myocardial infarction.
