Abstract

Automationorautomaticcontrolistheuseofvariouscontrolsystemsforoperating equipmentsuchasmachineryandotherapplicationswithminimalorreducedhumanintervention. Someprocesseslikespeedcontrolanddirectionalcontrol,etchavebeencompletelyautomated. ACmotorsusedinindustriesforvariousoperationsduereliable,lowcostandsimpleoperations. Theimplementationofconditionmonitoringsystem forthe3-phaseinductionmotorbasedon programmablelogiccontroler(PLC)&Supervisorycontrolanddataacquisition(SCADA) technologyisdescribed.Altherequiredcontrolandmotorperformancemonitoringdatawilbe takentoapersonalcomputerbySCADASoftwareWonderwareInTouchviaPLCRSLinxandRS 500logixforfurtheranalysis.
