Comparative study on Present Status of Pomegranate in Maharashtra State and India
Abstract
Fruit crops generate better income as compare other traditional crop, which result in to become employment opportunities in rural area. Pomegranate has always demand in market. Maharashtra, Karnataka, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh etc. are the major states producing pomegranate. Export facilities play an important role in increasing area of pomegranate production to earn good income.This study revealed that Maharashtra state is leading in area and production of pomegranate and having highest share. There is found fluctuation in percent change of export of pomegranate.
