Six Sigma is a worldwide management approach that first appeared in the 1980s in the industrial world. This approach has been extensively used by businesses like as Motorola, GE, Allied Signal, and others, with great success in terms of customer satisfaction and worldwide profitability. Six Sigma is now being used in many labs across the globe to obtain comparable results in the healthcare sector. Despite this, just a few papers on the topic have been published in peer-reviewed journals. The purpose of this article is to explain the many elements of Six Sigma and their possible applications in clinical labs, as well as to conduct a systematic evaluation of papers and books on Six Sigma strategy implementation in the laboratory sector.
