Understanding Inrush Current in Transformers: A Comprehensive Review

Abstract

Transformers are ubiquitous devices in the field of electrical engineering, serving the critical function of voltage transformation and power distribution. One of the essential aspects of transformer operation is the phenomenon of magnetizing current, which is the current required to establish and maintain the magnetic field within the transformer's core. This abstract provides a brief overview of the concept of magnetizing current in transformers and its significance in power transmission and distribution systems.
