ABSTRACT: The evolution of mass media has played a critical role in shaping education, from the invention of the printing press to the digital age. This article examines the significant milestones in the history of mass media and its profound influence on educational practices, policies, and access to knowledge up until 2017. It explores how different forms of mass media—print, radio, television, and digital platforms—have impacted educational systems worldwide, highlighting both the opportunities and challenges they present. The study provides a comprehensive overview of how mass media has evolved in education, the current influence it exerts, and its future implications as technology continues to advance. The paper also considers the global changes in media and technology, examining their effects on society and individual learners.
