Title

A SURVEY ON THE EFFECTIVENESS OF BLENDED LEARNING

Abstract

Blended learning combines traditional face-to-face instruction with online learning activities, creating a hybrid educational approach. This method has gained significant attention for its ability to enhance student learning outcomes, engagement, and flexibility. Research shows that blended learning can lead to improved learning outcomes. A meta-analysis by the U.S. Department of Education found that, on average, students in blended learning environments performed better than those in traditional face-to-face instruction. The effectiveness of blended learning lies in its ability to combine the best of both traditional and online learning. When implemented thoughtfully—with attention to technology access, course design, and student support—it can offer an engaging, flexible, and personalized learning experience that leads to better outcomes than traditional methods alone. However, it requires strong infrastructure, teacher training, and self-motivated students to reach its full potential.
