Green chemistry is a vital field within the chemical sciences, focusing on developing chemical products and processes that prioritize environmental sustainability, economic feasibility, and social responsibility. Over recent decades, applying green chemistry principles has led to significant advancements in industrial practices, improving environmental protection and resource efficiency. This review explores the latest developments in green chemistry, highlighting the use of renewable resources, sustainable process design, and waste minimization. Integrating of green chemistry in industries is essential for reducing environmental impact and promoting sustainable development. The article also addresses the role of green chemistry in mitigating pollution, resource depletion, and climate change. Emerging trends such as biocatalysis, ionic liquids, and green solvents are revolutionizing chemical processes, making them more energy-efficient and environmentally friendly. Furthermore, green chemistry's role in synthesizing green materials is paving the way for eco-friendly alternatives. The review concludes with future research directions, identifying challenges and opportunities for further advancements in sustainable chemical processes.
