Title

Changing Dimensions of Human Rights

Authors

Abstract

This study, Changing Dimensions of Human Rights, analyses the shifting discourse on human rights, focussing on the historical dichotomy between liberal democratic and socialist paradigms. The former underscores intrinsic civil and political rights, whereas the later prioritises economic justice and equality. The study challenges this binary perspective and promotes a comprehensive understanding of human rights, acknowledging the interrelation of civic, political, and social aspects. The paper examines the relationship between constitutional promises and their actual implementation through an integrated framework, emphasising ongoing disparities and the difficulties in reconciling legal obligations with real-world experiences. It outlines main factors affecting human rights practices, including democracy, economic development, military capability, and political instability. The study integrates exploratory and confirmatory analyses to deliver a nuanced assessment of human rights in many circumstances, presenting context-specific indicators for successful measurement of implementation. The results highlight the necessity for a unified strategy that reconciles the promise-practice disparity and addresses global issues such as inequality, militarisation, and ethnolinguistic diversity. The paper advocates for a comprehensive approach to human rights, encouraging inclusive and pragmatic solutions to advance dignity, freedom, and equality globally.
