Critical Analysis of Column Buckling Behavior with Varied End Conditions: Classical Theory and Experimental Review

Abstract

This paper critically examines the buckling behavior of columns under varying end conditions, reviewing classical theories and experimental observations. Emphasis is placed on how boundary restraints, slenderness, and loading influence stability and failure modes in steel and concrete columns. Experimental results, analytical formulas, and comparative tables underscore both theoretical and real-world implications for structural design.
