Title

ROLE OF MICRO, SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES (MSMES) IN RURAL DEVELOPMENT

Abstract

The MSMEs play a vital role in the overall growth of the industrial economy of the country. It not only play role in providing large employment opportunities at comparatively lower capital cost than large industries but also helps in the development of rural and backward areas, thereby, reducing regional imbalances, assuring more equitable distribution of national income and wealth. This paper analyzes the current status of Indian MSMEs in Rural Development and how the government regulations will help in the promotion and growth of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, which play a critical role in fostering inclusive growth in the country.
