It is important to measure the financial performance of company before invested in it. There are number of measurement parameters available to analyze the financial performance like Return on Investment (ROI), Earning per Share (EPS), Net Operating Profit After Tax (NOPAT), Stock Returns, Return on Equity (EOE) etc but which one measure the true value is questionable. EVA is an innovating financial tool which considers cost of capital and affect to shareholder’s wealth and market price of share. Hence the present study has been made an attempt to measure the financial performance of Nifty 50 companies for the period of 2013 to 2017. The financial performance of companies has been analyzed through Economic Value Added (EVA). The correlationship between Economic Value Added (EVA) and Market Price of Share (MPS) shows that there was no consistent relationship between two measurement parameters during the period of study.
