The world that we live in has a bounty of cultures and traditions which are unique to their own regions. Especially, India is a hub for these cultures and traditions. In the recent areas as Information Technology has made its way into the houses, the world has become more and more interconnected and thus has risen the spread of knowledge. One such knowledge is Traditional Knowledge (Hereinafter called as ‘TK’). Traditional knowledge is defined by the World Intellectual Property Organization(WIPO) as “knowledge, know-how, skills and practices that are developed, sustained and passed on from generation to generation within a community, often forming part of its cultural or spiritual identity.”
