Title

Hydromagnetic Flow with constant suction near An Oscillating Porous Flat Plate

Abstract

In the present paper, the flow with constant suction of a viscous incompressible and electrically conducting fluid near an infinite porous flat plate oscillating in its own plane with constant suction has been discussed in the presence of uniform transverse magnetic field. It is assumed that the fluid extends on one side of the wall and is sucked away to the other side. Expressions for velocity profile and skin friction have been obtained. It is found that the velocity in the boundary layer decreases and the amplitude of the skin friction increases with the increase of Hartmann number M.
