Authors

Abstract

This study delves into the Political Themes in Percy Bysshe Shelley's Works, Focusing on the Romantic poet's engagement with societal transformation, this research examines how Shelley's verses become a conduit for revolutionary ideas, reflecting his unwavering commitment to justice, freedom, and human agency. This study offers an overview of Shelley's exploration of political themes in works like "Odeto the West Wind" and "The Mask of Anarchy," unveiling the fusion of aesthetic beauty with potent dissent. Through meticulous textual analysis, this study reveals how Shelley's use of metaphor, imagery, andrhetorical devices acts as a vehicle for challenging the status quo, inciting thought-provoking reflections on power dynamics and societal structures.Delving into Shelley's embodiment of the poet-prophet archetype, the study investigates his belief in literature's capacity to shape public discourse and catalyze change. It explores his alignment with anarchist philosophy and his interactions with contemporaries, placing his revolutionary poetics within the context of his era's intellectual ferment. In addition, This study contemplates the timeless resonance of Shelley's revolutionary poetics in modern contexts, examining how his ideas continue to inspire contemporary activists and artists. It acknowledges the limitations and possibilities of utilizing poetry as a tool for political change, inviting a critical evaluation of the enduring relevance of Shelley's transformative vision.Ultimately, This study serves as a comprehensive exploration of how Shelley's poetic artistry converges with his fervent political ideals, leaving an indelible mark on both literature and the quest for a more just and equitable world.
