Abstract This article explores the profound convergence of painting, music, and dance in Odisha through the lens of Gita Govinda, Jayadeva’s iconic 12th-century poetic work. As a spiritual and aesthetic cornerstone of Odishan art, Gita Govinda has shaped traditions such as Patta and palm-leaf painting, Odissi music, and Odissi dance—particularly through temple rituals and cultural expressions in villages like Raghurajpur. By tracing the historical development, ritual significance, and performative integration of these art forms, the article highlights how Gita Govinda serves as a unifying theme in Odisha’s vibrant cultural landscape.
