Abstract:: GST also known as the Goods and Services Tax is defined as the giant indirect tax structure designed to support and andhance the economic growth of a country. In India, GST is implemented as one tax system for all goods and services. . The GST would subsume several Central and State taxes into a single tax which would mitigate cascading taxation and facilitate a common national market This newly updated tax system is implemented in India from 1st July 2017. The Goods and Services Tax (GST) will adversely affect the oil and gas industry as the sector will have to comply with both the current tax regime and the GST. Infact, GST will Negatively affect on Oil And Gas Industry due to compliance with dual taxation regimes and non-creditable tax costs.
