Title

Flap-wise vibration analysis of a rotating composite beam with tip mass

Abstract

In the present work the flap-wise vibration frequency of a rotating composite beam with tip mass is investigated. a rotating composite beam with tip mass is considered and flap-wise frequencies of the beam are determined using finite element method. The finite element equations are derived for the composite cantilever beam with tip mass. The influences of tip mass, rotating speed, fiber angle and hub radius ratio on the flap-wise vibration analysis of rotating composite beam is examined. From the results it indicates how the flap-wise frequency of rotating composite cantilever is influenced by varies parameters.
