Title

Extraction of Bioactive compound From Actinomycetes

Abstract

Actinomycetes are gram positive bacteria that are expansively spread in the environment plays a major role in the production of bioactive compound.They are prolific sources of secondary metabolites with biologically active properties and have appliction such as antimicrobial,anticancer agents or other pharmaceutical compound.Actinomycetes are responsible for the petrichor(earthy) smell of soil when it rains. It is due to the production of geosim compound.The objective of this paper is to study morphological,microscopic and biochemical characteristics of actinomycetes culture,media optimization,antimicrobial activity,mass profile and shake flask experiment and fermenter study for extraction of bioactive compound.
