Abstract
In this research paper the author has attempted
to know the density of the population of India and
its trend during years1901 to 2011. For this purpose
I have collected the data of population and density of
population for above period. I applied regression analysis
i.e. method of least square to find trend value in the time
series of data of density of the population. The density
of the population of India is rising at the speed of 2.7 %
during the decade period. R2 is 87 % and p value is less
than 0.005.
