Elliptic curve cryptography (ECC) is basically a Public-Key Cryptography (PKC). EKC requires public and private key and also a group of operations linked with the keys to perform encryption. Its mechanism uses the algebraic arrangement of elliptic curves over finite fields. ECC is used for data encryption for real time applications and can be implemented through software or hardware. This study reviewed the implementation of Elliptic Curve Cryptography through both software and hardware.
