Nowadays High Performance Concrete is widely used throughout the world in construction industry. For producing HPC with normal ingredients we use mineral admixtures like silica fume, fly ash, super plasticizer etc. The use of these mineral admixtures not only enhances strength properties but also durability of concrete. By the use of these super plasticizers we produce concrete of good workability even at lower water cement ratio. The present work was to obtain the optimal the optimal percentage of super plasticizer for producing M60 grade of concrete using normal ingredients. The super plasticizer was added at percentages of 1.5%, 1.3%, 1.1% and 0.9%. The optimal percentage was obtained at 0.9% by weight of cement .The performance of HPC mixes was good and was tested for compressive strength and tensile tension tests.
