Campus wide network means to connect systems through network. This is very useful to the people who are in campus to utilize the services. Here people are connected in network to share ideas or communicate with other people. An extensive campus wide computing and communications network is available in academic and administrative buildings across campus generally for facilitating required services. Through this, the campus community can directly access network dependent resources. For example, university campus can have multiple personalities like students, teachers and administrative staff who need campus wired network. On top of campus wired network there needs to be an application that provides select services. This is the problem to be addressed. In Existing system, the systems are connected in network for sharing resources and information. But there is no application that can provide many benefits including instant messaging among all stakeholders, network file sharing, remote database backup and recovery. In proposed system, application is built to ssupport instant messaging, network file sharing, database backup and recovery. These features are incorporated in the campus wired network that facilitates users to have productivity in their regular functions. Moreover, the application is made extensible so as to support new features in future without disturbing existing modules. The experimental results revealed the significance of the proposed application.
