Authors

Abstract

Over the Top platforms are currently all the rage in the media and entertainment industry as every media company, content creator and distributor struggles for viewers in an increasingly crowded field. Streaming video has fundamentally changed the way media is consumed, distributed, sold and even produced. While video-on-demand, or VOD, is familiar with most users, its business models SVOD, TVOD, and AVOD are less familiar but no less important. Therefore, this paper focus on various strategic OTT Video On Demand business models, its revenue generation and methodology. Moreover, it also provides comparative study between SVOD, TVOD and AVOD to better understand the popularity of VOD services. This paper also categorize various pricing strategies adopted by OTT players
