Title

Swarm Intelligences based Energy Efficient Clustering Protocol for Wireless Sensor Network to extending Network Lifetime

Abstract

The routing protocol of WSN based on clustering hierarchy has been one of the important research topics. Clustering sensor nodes is an effective topology control approach helping achieve this goal. The focal inadequacy of modern wireless sensor networks is constrained energy resources of sensors. In this way, Energy proficient grouping strategies and steering calculations must be conveyed to increase the strength of remote sensor systems. The exploration of an enhanced molecule swarm streamlining strategy for remote sensor systems is introduced in this paper. In order to conquer the inadequacy of the standard particle swarm optimization, improved means for clustering are adopted. Clustering is known to be non-deterministic polynomial (NP)-hard problems for a WSN. Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) is a swarm intelligent approach that can be applied for finding fast and efficient solutions of such problems. In this paper, we propose a novel centralized PSO protocol for Hierarchical Clustering (PSO-HC) in WSNs. Our objective is to maximize the network lifetime by minimizing the number of active CHs and to maximize the network scalability by using two-hop communication between the sensor nodes and their respective CHs. The effect of using a realistic network and energy consumption model in cluster-based communication for WSN was investigated.
