Title

Dimensions of brand equity and student satisfaction: A study of institutes imparting management education in Jalgaon city

Abstract

Brand equity is a tangible and intangible assets and liabilities of products/services and these assets and liabilities build the value for product and services. The sources of brand equity help to understand the dimensions of brand equity and the outcomes of brand equity help to understand exactly how and where brands add value. The value of a brand and its equity directly depends upon the words and actions of consumers. The real power of a brand is in the thoughts, feelings, images, beliefs, attitudes, experiences and so on that exist in the minds of consumers.The higher the brand equity, the higher will be the value and vice versa. The brand equity of institutes directly or indirectly satisfies the student. Student satisfaction is a key for developing and improving brand equity of the institutes.The objective of this research study is to determine the relationship between the dimensions of brand equity of management institutes and student satisfaction. The dimensions of brand equity i.e. perceived quality, brand awareness, brand loyalty and brand association influences student satisfaction. The 100 respondents who were studying in management institutes in Jalgaon city were considered as a sample size in this study. The respondents were selected on the basis of convenience sampling technique. The data was collected with the help of questionnaire. The various dimensions considered were perceived quality, brand awareness, brand loyalty and brand association. The results show some of the dimensions have a significant association with student satisfaction.
