Title

Efficient synthesis and characterization of 2-(4-((phenylimino)methyl)phenyl)isoindoline-1,3-dione

Abstract

The titled [2-(4phenylimino)methyl)phenyl)isoindoline-1,3-dione] has been synthesized from phthalic anhydride and p-toluidene followed by use of H2O2 in glacial acetic acid and aniline to from a Schiff base which is then characterized on the basis of 1H-NMR.
