Title

Techniques for Enhancing the Smoothness of Optimization Models

Abstract

The optimization problem includes functions in the objective function that are occasionally non-differentiable. These functions can prolong the solution process and may lead to ill-conditioning. To address this, smooth functions are introduced. This paper explores the concept of smoothing functions, providing classifications and definitions. A novel smoothing technique for non-smooth functions is proposed. Additionally, error approximation results and the convergence of the smoothing function are established in this work
