Stemming could be a pre-processing stage for text mining application and often used for Natural Language Processing (NLP). The aim of developing stemmers is used to minimize the inflectional forms and rarely derivationally associated kinds of a word to a typical root form. Ge’ez language is morphologically complicated. This is often because of several words can be formed by means of the varied concatenations of affixes. For the testing, I used affix removal techniques and for evaluation of the stemmer, manually error counting technique was used. From the experiment, three types of errors are detected: over stemmed, under- stemmed, and structural faults.
