Title

Competency Mapping at Seiren India Private Limited, Kadakola, Mysore

Abstract

Abstract: Automotive textile is a part of the textile which is used in accordance with the vehicles. Automotive textile is an integral aspect of technical textile. Nearly 2/3 of automotive textiles are for the interior trim I,e seat cover, carpet and roof and door liner. Competency mapping is a process an individual uses to recognize and define competencies that are the most important to success in their work. The project has been carried with tittle “COMPETENCY MAPPING” with reference to SEIREN INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED. The main objective of the study is to analyze the gap between expected level and existing level competency, To explore the needs of the employee to develop their competency for effective and efficient job performance, To analyze relative strength of individual competencies of managers, engineers, and operators. For this study, the descriptive design has been used and sample size 42 has been taken and for analysis, primary data collection is done through questionnaire and secondary data is collected from company websites, books, and journals. From the study, it has been identified that organization employees have competency gap between existing, and expected level for this purpose suggestion are given like providing training programs for improving their competencies and also recruit talented employees for increasing organization competency level. By improving knowledge, skill and attributes and leadership skill competency of the organization.
