Further the confirmation of its efficacy in knee and hip OA, there are very few facts on its effect in other OA locations such as the hand, as well as on different types of patient profiles or OA subtypes. Further investigation is also needed to be accomplished to outline the real prospective of diacerein on disease development with well planned, high quality, structure-modifying clinical trials
